Sr Data Analyst

The Global Tax Product Team manages global applications for tax determination and tax reporting services. Tax determination services are called by various transactional systems to determine the tax that must be paid for a transaction. Tax reporting creates mandatory reports that must be sent to tax authorities in various countries. The team supports cloud services: Vertex O’Series on Demand for tax determination and Vertex TPE for reporting (Tax Data Hub). Informatica and other middleware are used to manage the interfaces of legacy Ford systems to the cloud services. The team is very closely working with the tax systems experts in the office of tax council (OTC) to support the requirements of our global customers, both for existing applications and services, as well as for new projects (e.g. Aurora rollout, IERP).

• Data & Functional analyst for Tax Data Hub application & interfaces including launches, enhancements, and support activities. 
• Close collaboration with Tax Business and Various interface applications to elicit, understand and document ‘Business’ and ‘Integration’ requirements. 
• Provide reliable and accurate solutions based on thorough knowledge of the applications and the business processes so that the high integrity needs are met.
• Propose solutions/approaches to continuously improve data quality in TDH application including reports and extracts. 
• Work with business, interface teams and vendors to identify and fix data quality and other issues (e.g. by reconciliation with GL General Ledger data)
• Review and improve capability and quality of feeders and reports out of TDH.
• Close collaboration with TDH Technical/Development & Support teams in guiding them on various aspects of solutions and production support activities. 
• Support OTC team in providing the monthly tax reports.
• Support iERP project for effective transitioning of data sources from legacy to iERP.

• 5+ years of IT business & data analysis experience.
• Good knowledge/Proficiency in Data analysis tool/languages [Python, IICS Informatica, Alteryx, any other relevant skills]. Good exposure to Database skills [BigQuery, PostGres,SQL,  Oracle]. 
• Passion for understanding the underlying business processes in the Office of Tax Council 
• Very good communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills in global environment
• Strong analytical skills, and the ability to identify root cause of business concerns; understand & predict business 'motivators'
• Solution-oriented and can-do-attitude; excellent problem-solving skills
• Good experience working with integration teams.
• Experience working with EU & US business teams.
• Strong ability to work individually and as part of a team
• Experienced with Agile Framework & Tools and the PDO model
• Experience working on SaaS projects will be an advantage
• Experience related to Tax will be preferred.
• Ability to lead technical design and implementation
