Sr. Engineer - CEA

Responsibilities & Key Deliverables

• Overall knowledge on Tractor systems, controls and implements
• Understand project requirements and milestones
• Expertise in UG NX & TC
• Participation in QFD, benchmarking of competitor tractors on operator ergonomics including Cognitive ergonomics, HMI and seat & seating comfort factors
• Knowledge of farmer driving habits/usage pattern
• Converting customer voice into design inputs
• Defining Operator comfort requirements and verifying them
• Report preparation, discussion with concerned COEs to ensure set targets are delivered
• Knowledge of statutory/homologation requirement for positioning of controls or system
• Mock up evaluation with Jury and feedback capturing
• Monitor virtual Ergonomics and resolving issues

Experience

3-5 years with relevant experience & B.E in Automotive/Mechanical
8-10 Year with relevant experience & D.E in Automotive/Mechanical

 

Industry Preferred

Farm / Automobile 

Qualifications

B.E in Automotive/Mechanical or D.E in Automotive/Mechanical or PG in Applied Ergonomics

  3. UG NX-10

  (Knowledge on SPIOS or HMI related software is a given preference)

 

Functional Competencies:

 

• Knowledge of tractor ergonomics criteria, physical human variations ​Important body dimensions and Joint movements
• Human strength data and controls operating effort
• Customer requirements & usage pattern​
• Controls & interfaces packaging​: Layout of driver workspace, reachability & clearance zones, visibility​ with concepts of HMI
• Participation in project QFD​
• Corelation of virtual & physical assessment
• Ensuring project targets & approval
• Finalisation of driver workspace & approval for freezing of comfort layout
• Discussion with related departments and approval of layouts
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements, DVP, DFMEA, DFA
• New technologies and upcoming regulatory requirements
