Job Description
1) Should have relevant experience in surveying activities in 765 KV transmission line. Should be able to perform detail and check survey, contouring, prop setting, Data extraction from DGPS and Total Station. Should have perform major survey activities in similar or higher transmission line. Should have strong hold on excel and word. Should be able to work on auto cad, PLS.
2) Conduct Surveys: Perform detailed land surveys using various surveying tools and techniques to determine the precise location, elevation, and alignment of transmission line components such as towers, conductors, insulators, and other associated equipment.
3) Data Collection: Collect accurate and reliable data related to the existing infrastructure, topography, land boundaries, and other relevant information required for the transmission line project. This may include using GPS devices, total stations, laser scanners, and other surveying instruments.
4) Stakeholder Coordination: Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other team members to understand project requirements, identify potential challenges, and ensure that surveying activities are aligned with the project's objectives and timelines.
5) Right-of-Way Determination: Assist in determining the right-of-way for the transmission line, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. This involves identifying land ownership, easements, and acquiring necessary permissions for construction activities.
6) Mapping and Documentation: Create accurate maps, diagrams, and reports based on survey data, including digital terrain models, topographic maps, and as-built drawings. Maintain proper documentation of survey results, ensuring accessibility and ease of reference for the project team.
7) Quality Assurance: Perform quality control checks on survey data to ensure accuracy and completeness. Verify that survey measurements and calculations adhere to established standards and specifications.
8) Safety and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines while performing surveying tasks. Maintain awareness of regulatory requirements and industry best practices to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
