Cook / Chef

A cook who can prepare food as per the ingredients, as per menu items, recipes as informed by the Company and as per the food safety standards

They are responsible for setting up workstations, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, managing food inventory, and ensuring all dishes are safely prepared, visually appealing, and served in a timely manner.

Core Responsibilities :

• Food Preparation: Wash, cut, chop, and measure ingredients to prepare them for cooking. Cook food using various methods such as grilling, baking, or frying etc.
• Recipe Adherence: Follow standardized recipes to maintain consistency in portion size, flavor, and presentation.
• Sanitation & Safety: Strictly adhere to food health and safety guidelines, including maintaining proper storage temperatures, preventing cross-contamination. Keep workstations, utensils, and equipment clean and sanitized.
• Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, handle food deliveries, and rotate inventory to minimize spoilage.
• Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with other kitchen staff and office teams to ensure smooth and efficient service.

Key Qualifications & Skills:

• Experience: Previous experience in a high-pressure, fast-paced restaurant or food service environment.
• Culinary Knowledge: Understanding of different cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
• Multitasking & Time Management: Ability to handle multiple food orders simultaneously without compromising on quality.
• Physical Stamina: Capability to stand for extended hours and lift heavy objects like stock supplies.
