Cashier

Role Objective

To manage all billing and cash handling accurately, ensure zero discrepancies, and maintain complete transparency in daily financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle billing through POS system accurately
• Collect payments via cash, UPI, and cards
• Maintain proper cash drawer discipline at all times
• Perform opening, mid-shift, and closing cash checks
• Maintain and submit daily cash control sheet
• Ensure zero mismatch or immediate reporting of discrepancies
• Coordinate with service team for correct billing entries
• Avoid wrong billing (wrong table / wrong mode of payment)

Cash Handling Responsibilities (Critical)

• Responsible for entire shift cash accountability
• Record all cash expenses properly
• Follow cash drop rules (limit in drawer)
• Ensure no unauthorized cash usage
• Immediate escalation in case of mismatch

Required Skills

• Basic understanding of POS systems
• Good with numbers and calculations
• Strong attention to detail
• Honest, disciplined, and reliable
• Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment

Important Expectations

• Zero tolerance for cash mishandling or negligence
• Daily cash sheet and checkpoints are mandatory
• Full ownership of cash during assigned shift
