About the Team:
As a global technology driven manufacturer and pioneer in the global wind turbine gearbox industry, business unit IW is leading the high-performance onshore and offshore segments with products up to 10 000 kNm and first in exceeding 200 Nm/kg torque density in compact modular designs 

What you can look forward to as Designer/ Senior Designer - Product Application (m/f/d):

• Review and interpret customer technical specifications, focusing on torque requirements, speed ratios, and load data.
• Design, integrate and specify critical components including gears, splines, shafts and plain bearings using ZF IW guidelines, tools and processes, in order to get a complete Product Specification according to customer requirements, timing and costs.
• Reports/documents the design solution to the Design Leader or Design Responsible in a professional way for internal as well as external review and risk assessment.
• Initiates interaction with involved stakeholders (Process Engineering, Purchasing/Supplier, Quality, Customer…) to deliver the qualitative technical specifications of the assigned work package within scope of the given project.
• Takes the lead in technical discussions with clients / suppliers and represents ZF in the industry.

 

Your profile as Designer/ Senior Designer - Product Application (m/f/d):

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 4–12 years in heavy industrial or wind energy gearbox design in areas of gears, bearings, other machine elements or castings design.
• Expertise in AGMA / ISO / DIN standards (e.g., ISO 6336 / DIN 3990 for gear load capacity, DIN 743 for shaft strength, ISO 7902 / VDI 2204 for plain bearing, etc).
• Experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) to evaluate manufacturing deviations effectively.
• Skilled in 3D CAD tools (PTC Creo, Siemens NX or SolidWorks) and KISSsoft.
