Job Description
- Guest Check-in & Check-out
- Welcome guests professionally, complete registration formalities, verify IDs, allocate rooms, and process check-outs smoothly.
- Reservation Handling
- Manage room bookings through phone, email, walk-ins, and online portals while updating room availability accurately.
- Guest Relationship Management
- Handle guest queries, complaints, and special requests politely to ensure high guest satisfaction.
- Room Coordination & Status Monitoring
- Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams regarding room readiness, occupancy status, and urgent requirements.
- Telephone & Communication Handling
- Attend incoming calls, transfer calls appropriately, take messages, and provide hotel information to guests.
- Billing & Payment Processing
- Prepare guest bills, receive payments, handle POS/card transactions, maintain cash records, and ensure billing accuracy.
- Lobby & Reception Area Management
- Maintain cleanliness, presentation, and professional ambiance of the reception and lobby area.
- Guest Complaint Resolution
- Resolve minor guest issues immediately and escalate major concerns to management when necessary.
- Upselling Hotel Services
- Promote room upgrades, restaurant services, tour packages, laundry, transport, and other hotel facilities.
- Basic Administrative & Reporting Duties
- Maintain guest records, daily reports, occupancy reports, shift handover notes, and documentation properly.
- Support in Housekeeping Operations During Emergencies
- Assist in basic housekeeping activities such as:
- Bedding and arranging rooms
- Changing bed linens and pillow covers
- Preparing vacant rooms for guest arrival
- Coordinating room setup when housekeeping staff are unavailable or during peak occupancy
- Safety, Security & Emergency Support
- Follow hotel safety procedures, monitor visitor movement, handle emergency situations calmly, and support guests during emergencies.
