Job Description – Design Engineer (Mechanical Manufacturing)

Position: Design Engineer

Industry: Mechanical Manufacturing / Bakery Machinery Manufacturing

Department: Design & Engineering

• Qualification B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Automobile Engineering.
• Experience Minimum 3 years of experience in mechanical design within a manufacturing industry.
• Experience in machine design, fabrication drawings, and production support is preferred.
• Software Skills AutoCAD, SolidWorks
• Job Responsibilities: Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and complete machines as per project requirements.
• Prepare 2D manufacturing drawings and 3D models using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Generate detailed fabrication, machining, and assembly drawings.
• Prepare and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM).
• Coordinate with Production, Purchase, and Quality departments for smooth execution of projects.
• Modify existing designs based on customer requirements and production feedback.
• Ensure designs comply with engineering standards, quality requirements, and manufacturing feasibility.
• Provide technical support during machine assembly, testing, and installation.
• Participate in design reviews and continuous product improvement activities.
• Maintain proper documentation and revision control for all engineering drawings.
• Troubleshoot design-related issues and implement effective engineering solutions.
• Required SkillsStrong knowledge of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes.
• Good understanding of fabrication, machining, welding, and sheet metal design.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Working Hours 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
• Weekly Off Sunday
• Location Coimbatore
