Job SummaryWe are looking for a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with experience in designing and developing industrial machines, preferably for the automotive manufacturing sector. The candidate should have hands-on knowledge of machine design, manufacturing processes, and engineering drawings. The ideal candidate must be able to convert concepts into practical machine designs while ensuring quality, performance, and manufacturability.

• Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop mechanical systems, industrial machines, and special-purpose machines (SPMs).
• Prepare 2D drawings, 3D models, BOMs, and manufacturing documentation.
• Develop machine layouts, assemblies, and detailed component designs.
• Coordinate with the production and fabrication teams to ensure smooth manufacturing and assembly.
• Select standard mechanical components such as bearings, motors, gearboxes, pneumatic and hydraulic components.
• Perform design modifications based on customer requirements and production feedback.
• Ensure designs comply with engineering standards, safety requirements, and quality guidelines.
• Support prototype development, testing, installation, and troubleshooting.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to improve product performance and reduce manufacturing costs.
• Required SkillsStrong knowledge of machine design and mechanical engineering principles.
• Experience in designing industrial or automotive manufacturing machines.
• Proficiency in CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, or CATIA.
• Ability to read and create engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Knowledge of fabrication, machining, sheet metal, and manufacturing processes.
• Understanding of pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation systems is an advantage.
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• EligibilityDiploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• 1–5 years of experience in mechanical design, machine design, or SPM design.
• Freshers with excellent CAD knowledge and strong academic projects may also be considered.
• Preferred Candidate ProfileExperience in automotive machinery or industrial equipment design.
• Ability to visualize complete machine assemblies and understand manufacturing feasibility.
