Title: Machine Operator – Bottling / Refilling Plant

Department: Production / Operations

Reports To: Plant Manager / Area Incharge / Plant Incharge

Salary:

15000-25000 per month (Third party payroll)

Job Summary:

The Machine Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring,

and maintaining bottling or refilling machinery in a safe and efficient

manner. The role ensures accurate filling, sealing, labeling, and packaging

of cylinders or bottles while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Key

Responsibilities:

1. Machine Operation

Operate bottling or refilling equipment such as filling

stations, cappers, sealers, conveyors, and leak detectors.

Set up machines for daily production and adjust parameters based

on product specifications (e.g., pressure, volume).

Start-up and

shut-down of machines as per SOPs.

2. Quality Control

Ensure correct

filling levels, pressure, sealing, and labeling.

Conduct basic

quality checks (e.g., leak test, weight check, pressure test).

Report any

defects or abnormalities to the supervisor immediately.

3. Safety

Compliance

Follow safety protocols for handling pressurized or hazardous

materials (especially in LPG or chemical refilling).

Use

appropriate PPE and ensure safety interlocks are functional.

Report unsafe conditions, leaks, or equipment faults promptly.

4. Maintenance Support

Perform basic machine cleaning and lubrication.

Assist maintenance personnel during routine or breakdown maintenance

Maintain cleanliness and 5S in the work area.

5.Documentation & Reporting

Record machine readings, output counts, and rejections in shift logs.

Report downtime, material usage, and other relevant production data.

6. Team Coordination

Work in coordination with helpers, technicians, and supervisors.

Support loading/unloading of cylinders or bottles when required.

Follow shift handover procedures and communicate machine status clearly.

Qualifications & Experience:

ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or related trade preferred.

1–5 years of experience operating machines in a bottling, packaging, or refilling plant.

Familiarity with mechanical or pneumatic filling machines is desirable.

Experience in LPG/chemical refilling plants requires safety training/certification.
