Job SummaryThe Senior Technician (EV & PV) is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electric and passenger vehicles in accordance with manufacturer standards. The role involves handling complex technical issues, ensuring quality repairs, supporting junior technicians, and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction while adhering to safety procedures.

• Key ResponsibilitiesPerform diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of Electric Vehicles (EV) and Passenger Vehicles (PV).
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, and electronic faults using OEM diagnostic tools.
• Carry out scheduled maintenance, warranty repairs, and general servicing.
• Ensure all repair work is completed according to manufacturer guidelines and quality standards.
• Conduct road tests and final quality inspections before vehicle delivery.
• Maintain accurate job cards, service records, and repair documentation.
• Follow EV high-voltage safety procedures and workshop safety standards at all times.
• Support and mentor junior technicians to improve technical skills and productivity.
• Coordinate with Service Advisors regarding repair status and technical findings.
• Ensure proper use and maintenance of workshop tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Participate in technical training programmes and implement new service procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area.
• Required QualificationsDiploma / ITI in Automobile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• EV certification or high-voltage system training is preferred.
• Valid Driving Licence.
• Experience5–8 years of experience in automotive service.
• Minimum 2 years of experience working on Electric Vehicles is preferred.
• Experience with OEM diagnostic equipment and repair procedures.
• Required SkillsStrong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities.
• Knowledge of EV powertrain, battery systems, BMS, charging systems, and HV safety.
• Knowledge of engine, transmission, suspension, brake, steering, and electrical systems for Passenger Vehicles.
• Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Time management and problem-solving abilities.
• Computer literacy for service management systems.
