VMC Machine Operator

Job description:

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled VMC Operator with hands-on experience in Fanuc control systems. The candidate should be capable of operating VMC machines, resetting and editing CNC programs, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring smooth production operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate VMC Machines with Fanuc Control System.
• Load, set, and reset CNC programs as per production requirements.
• Perform program editing and minor modifications at machine level.
• Tool setting, offset setting, and job setting as per drawing.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Ensure dimensional accuracy using measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, etc.).
• Monitor machine performance and ensure proper machining parameters.
• Perform first-piece inspection and in-process inspection.
• Maintain daily production reports.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and follow safety standards.
• Identify and report machine or quality issues to supervisor immediately.

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of Fanuc CNC Control System.
• Ability to reset programs and handle alarms independently.
• Good understanding of machining processes.
• Knowledge of cutting tools and inserts.
• Basic understanding of CNC codes (G-code & M-code).
• Ability to work in shifts.

Educational Qualification:

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Preferred Skills (Added Advantage):

• Experience in fixture setting.
• Knowledge of 4th axis operation.
• Basic programming knowledge.

Experience:

• Minimum 2–4 years of experience in VMC machine operation with Fanuc control.
