Weighing Scale Technician

Scientific Weighing Products manufactures and services the MaxWeigh range of industrial and commercial weighing systems. We need a confident, hands-on technician who can independently handle installation, servicing, and calibration of electronic weighing scales from day one.

What you will do

1. Install weighing systems — platform scales, floor scales, hopper/batch weighers — including load cell wiring and junction box setup.
2. Service and repair weighing scale electronics, including indicator PCBs and power supply units, down to component level.
3. Troubleshoot load cell faults — drift, zero error, sensitivity issues — using signal analysis and resistance checks.
4. Carry out span calibration, linearity checks, and repeatability testing; maintain accurate service records.
5. Conduct field service visits at client sites across the Daman region.

What we are looking for

1. Education ITI (Electronics / Electrician) or Diploma / B.E. in Electronics, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering.
2. Experience — mandatory
3. Minimum 1 year servicing or installing electronic weighing scales (any brand — Mettler Toledo, Avery, Essae, or equivalent).
4. Hands-on experience with load cell installation and wiring — single-point, shear-beam, or compression type.
5. Practical ability to calibrate scales using test weights and configure weighing indicators.

Skills & attributes

1. Proficient with multimeter; capable of PCB-level fault finding and soldering.
2. Willing to travel to client sites; valid two-wheeler or light vehicle licence preferred.
3. Self-driven with good client-facing communication skills.
