Job Overview

Horizon Titanium INC. is looking for a Quality Engineer who will be responsible for Ultrasonic Testing as well as overall material quality inspections. This is a hands-on role where the candidate will independently manage in-house inspections, UT testing, coordination of outsourced tests, and basic customer quality support.

The role is designed for one dedicated engineer who wants end-to-end exposure to quality control in titanium and stainless steel materials.

Key Responsibilities

1. Ultrasonic Testing  

* Perform ultrasonic testing (UT) on titanium and stainless steel bars, sheets, and other products as per applicable standards and customer requirements.

* Interpret UT results and identify internal defects such as inclusions, voids, laminations, and cracks.

* Prepare UT inspection reports and maintain calibration and traceability records.

2. In-House Quality Inspection

* Carry out dimensional, straightness, visual, and hardness inspections.

* Ensure all in-house tests are performed as per defined procedures and standards.

* Maintain inspection records, calibration logs, and quality documentation.

3. Outsourced Testing & Report Control

* Coordinate with external laboratories for chemical, mechanical, and microstructure testing.

* Manage sample preparation, dispatch, and report follow-up.

* Review and verify outsourced test reports for compliance with specifications.

4. Quality Assurance & Customer Support

* Act as the single point of contact for internal quality testing activities.

* Support customer quality queries and UT-related discussions when required.

* Work closely with operations and management to ensure material compliance and quality consistency.

Candidate Requirements

* Degree or Diploma in Metallurgy, Materials Science, or Mechanical Engineering.

* 6 months of experience preferred; freshers with strong interest in UT and quality testing are welcome.

* Basic understanding of Ultrasonic Testing principles and common material defects.

* Willingness to take ownership of quality and testing responsibilities.

* Good documentation, reporting, and communication skills.

* Long-term commitment and eagerness to grow with the organization.
