Accountant/ Accounts Executive

Job Title: Senior Accountant 

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant with strong expertise in GST compliance and financial management. The candidate will be responsible for overseeing accounting operations, ensuring statutory compliance, and managing GST filings and reconciliations. This role requires attention to detail, leadership ability, and up-to-date knowledge of Indian tax regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

* Manage and oversee daily accounting operations

* Prepare and review financial statements (monthly, quarterly, annual)

* Ensure accurate bookkeeping and general ledger maintenance

* Handle GST compliance, including:

 * GST return filings (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9, etc.)

 * Input Tax Credit (ITC) reconciliation

 * GST audits and assessments

* Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and customer accounts

* Monitor accounts payable and receivable

* Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and tax regulations

* Assist in direct and indirect tax filings

* Coordinate with auditors and handle internal/external audits

* Prepare MIS reports and financial analysis for management

* Guide and supervise junior accounting staff

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce (B.Com/M.Com)

* 4–8 years of relevant accounting experience

* Strong working knowledge of GST laws and compliance in India

* Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, or SAP

* Good understanding of financial reporting and taxation

* Advanced knowledge of MS Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

* CA Inter / CMA / CA qualification (completed or pursuing)

* Experience in handling GST audits and notices

* Familiarity with TDS, income tax, and statutory compliance
