Billing Specialist

🏗️ Role OverviewThe Billing Executive will be responsible for preparing, verifying, and maintaining all billing-related documentation for construction projects. This includes client invoices, subcontractor bills, material consumption records, and reconciliation with site progress. The role requires strong knowledge of construction processes, measurement sheets, and financial accuracy.

• 🔑 Key Responsibilities: Client Billing
• Prepare running account (RA) bills based on site measurements and work progress.
• Ensure bills align with contract terms, BOQ (Bill of Quantities), and approved drawings.
• Submit invoices to clients and follow up for timely certification and payment.

• Vendor & Subcontractor Billing
• Verify subcontractor bills against work orders and site measurements.
• Check material supply bills against delivery challans and purchase orders.
• Process payments after approval from site engineers/project managers.
• Documentation & Records
• Maintain Joint Measurement Records (JMR) and reconciliation statements.
• Track material consumption vs. purchase to avoid discrepancies.
• Keep updated records of advances, deductions, and retention money.
• Coordination
• Work closely with site engineers, project managers, and accounts team.
• Resolve billing disputes with vendors or clients by providing supporting documents.
• Assist in audits and compliance checks.

• 🛠️ Required SkillsStrong knowledge of construction billing processes (RA bills, BOQ, JMR).
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Tally, or ERP systems used in construction.
• Understanding of GST, TDS, and other statutory compliances.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Good communication and negotiation skills.
