Procurement Manager

About the Role:

We are looking for a sharp, hands-on Procurement Executive who can hunt down products, talk to vendors all day, and get us the best price, MOQ, and delivery terms. If you enjoy being on the phone, negotiating, and chasing down the right supplier - this is for you.

You will be the bridge between our team and the vendor market (IndiaMART, Amazon, local wholesale markets, social media vendors, factories, importers). Your job is to find, evaluate, negotiate, and report.

What You'll Do (Day-to-Day)

• Source products on IndiaMART, Amazon Business, Alibaba, Instagram vendors, and local wholesale markets based on the brief shared by the reporting manager.
• Call vendors daily to check: product availability, price, MOQ (minimum order quantity), lead time, shipping terms, payment terms, and sample availability.
• Compare quotes from multiple vendors and shortlist the best 2–3 options for every requirement.
• Negotiate on price, MOQ, payment terms, and delivery timelines.
• Maintain a vendor database — name, contact, category, pricing, payment terms, past performance — in Google Sheets / Excel / CRM.
• Build long-term vendor relationships — regular check-ins, festive greetings, follow-ups on samples and orders.
• Report daily to the reporting manager with a clean summary: what was sourced, quotes received, recommended vendor, and reasoning.
• Coordinate samples — request, track, receive, and hand over to the team for approval.
• Follow up on POs, dispatch updates, and resolve vendor-side delays.

What We're Looking For

• Comfortable making 30–50 vendor calls a day without hesitation.
• Strong negotiation and bargaining skills — you don't accept the first price.
• Good with WhatsApp Business, Google Sheets, Gmail, and basic Excel.
• Experience using IndiaMART, TradeIndia, or Amazon Business is a big plus.
• Disciplined about follow-ups — you don't drop the ball.
• Honest, transparent reporting — no inflating quotes, no hidden commissions.
• 12th pass / Graduate in any stream. Prior procurement / purchase / sales / tele-calling experience preferred but not mandatory.

Bonus Points If You Have

• Worked in D2C, e-commerce, manufacturing, retail, or imports.
• Experience sourcing from China / Yiwu / Sadar Bazaar / Crawford / Tank Road / SP Road markets.
• Network of vendors you can already tap into.
• Basic understanding of GST, HSN codes, freight, and CIF/FOB terms.
