About the Company

We are a Canada-based freight brokerage company that helps shippers, distributors, manufacturers, and businesses move their freight by connecting them with reliable carriers. The company works as a middle party between shippers who need transportation services and carriers/trucking companies who can move the loads.

Our team collects freight/load requirements from shippers, quotes transportation rates, posts loads on freight portals/load boards, and coordinates with carriers to get the freight moved efficiently.


Role Overview

We are hiring a Telesales & Marketing Executive for our freight brokerage business. The candidate will work from our office in Pitampura, Delhi during the night shift from 6:00 PM to 2:00 AM IST, which aligns with Canadian business hours.


The main responsibility of this role is to call shippers, distributors, manufacturers, warehouses, wholesalers, and logistics departments in Canada to generate freight leads and onboard them as customers.


The candidate will identify companies that regularly ship goods, speak with decision-makers, understand their freight requirements, collect load details, and pass qualified opportunities to the brokerage team so the company can quote the shipper and post the load on freight portals/load boards to book suitable carriers.


Key Responsibilities


1. Call Canadian Shippers & DistributorsThe candidate will make outbound calls to Canadian businesses such as:

  • Shippers
  • Distributors
  • Manufacturers
  • Warehouses
  • Wholesalers
  • Importers and exporters
  • Food suppliers
  • Retail suppliers
  • Construction material suppliers
  • Industrial goods suppliers
  • Logistics and shipping departments

The goal is to connect with decision-makers who handle freight, transportation, shipping, or logistics for the company.


2. Generate Freight LeadsThe candidate will introduce the brokerage company and explain how the company can help arrange trucks/carriers for their freight movement.

The candidate will identify companies that have regular, seasonal, spot, urgent, or occasional freight requirements and convert them into qualified shipper leads.


3. Onboard ShippersThe candidate will work on onboarding new shippers by collecting basic company and freight details.


This may include:

  • Company name
  • Contact person
  • Phone number and email
  • Shipping manager or logistics manager details
  • Type of products shipped
  • Regular shipping lanes
  • Pickup and delivery locations
  • Freight frequency
  • Equipment required
  • Current transportation challenges
  • Current carrier or broker usage
  • Upcoming load requirements

4. Collect Load Details


Whenever a shipper has an active or upcoming load, the candidate must collect complete load information so the brokerage team can quote and post the load properly.

Load details may include:

  • Pickup location
  • Delivery location
  • Pickup date and time
  • Delivery date and time
  • Commodity/product type
  • Weight
  • Dimensions
  • Pallet count
  • Truck type required
  • Dry van, reefer, flatbed, LTL, FTL, etc.
  • Special handling instructions
  • Appointment requirements
  • Loading/unloading details
  • Target rate, if available

5. Support Freight Brokerage Operations


After collecting the freight information, the candidate will coordinate with the internal brokerage team so the load can be quoted, posted on freight portals/load boards, and assigned to available carriers.


The candidate is not expected to book carriers directly unless trained and authorized by the company. The primary focus is shipper calling, lead generation, onboarding, and collecting freight opportunities.


6. Maintain CRM and Lead Tracker

The candidate must update all call details and lead information properly in CRM, Google Sheets, Excel, or the company’s internal system.

Records should include:

  • Company contacted
  • Contact person
  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • Call status
  • Interested / not interested / follow-up required
  • Freight lanes
  • Shipping frequency
  • Load details
  • Follow-up date
  • Notes from conversation

7. Follow-Up With Prospects


The candidate will send follow-up emails, company introductions, rate request forms, and service information to interested shippers.

Regular follow-up is important because many freight customers do not convert on the first call. The candidate must stay organized and follow up professionally.


8. Market Research


The candidate will research Canadian companies that may need freight services using:

  • Google
  • Google Maps
  • LinkedIn
  • Company websites
  • Business directories
  • Industry lists
  • Existing lead databases

The candidate should be able to find companies that are likely to ship goods regularly.
