Job Description
We are looking for a responsible and experienced Account Manager cum Store Operations Manager for our Dhanbad showroom, The Odhani.
The candidate should be able to handle store accounts, daily reports, inventory checking, staff salary records, expenses, stock audit, and support the owner in keeping the showroom organized and profitable.
This is not only an accountant role. We need a person who can cross-check reports, control expenses, monitor stock, guide staff, and keep the store moving in a positive direction.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts & Reports
- Maintain daily sales, expense, cash, UPI, card and bank records.
- Cross-check daily DSR with billing software.
- Check purchase, sales, GST bills, freight, salary and shop expenses.
- Maintain proper records in Tally / Vasy ERP / Excel.
- Prepare monthly profit & loss, expense report and owner summary.
- Track shop rent, salary, advertisement, software, card commission, freight and other expenses. Your store records already include these heads like salary, shop rent, shop expenses, software, card commission and freight, so this role should control them properly.
Inventory & Stock Control
- Cross-check physical stock with software stock.
- Do regular stock audit and report mismatch.
- Track fast-moving, slow-moving and dead stock.
- Make category-wise stock reports.
- Check negative stock, missing barcode, wrong entry and stock transfer issues.
- Help owner decide what stock is good, what is blocked, and what needs attention.
Staff & Salary Management
- Maintain staff attendance and salary records.
- Check late coming, absents, leaves, weekly off and overtime.
- Report staff discipline issues to owner.
- Ensure staff uniform, timing and basic store rules are followed.
- No fighting or arguing with staff; only report professionally.
Store Control & Audit
- Check opening and closing reports.
- Verify cash closing and payment collection.
- Check bills, discounts, returns and exchanges.
- Check store safety, CCTV discipline, stock handling and billing discipline.
- Make sure all important reports are sent to owner on time.
Owner Reporting
- Send daily, weekly and monthly reports to owner.
- Highlight problems before they become big.
- Give suggestions to improve sales, reduce waste and control expenses.
- Keep store data clean and updated.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of Tally, Excel and billing software.
- Experience in retail accounting preferred.
- Basic GST, purchase, sales and expense knowledge.
- Good understanding of inventory and stock checking.
- Honest, disciplined and detail-oriented.
- Able to manage staff records and showroom reports.
- Good communication with owner and team.
- Should be comfortable with WhatsApp reporting.
Preferred Candidate
- Experience in garments, retail showroom, supermarket, jewellery, fashion store or similar business.
- Can handle both accounts + store audit + staff records.
- Can work like owner’s right hand.
- Should be trustworthy and long-term focused.
Working Time
10:30 AM to 9:30 PM
Weekly off as per store policy.
