Job Description
Role SummaryResponsible for handling end-to-end import operations including shipment clearance, documentation, vendor coordination, regulatory compliance, and logistics management for seamless supply chain operations.
- Key ResponsibilitiesImport Operations & Customs ClearanceHandle import shipment clearance and documentation
- Manage custom clearance at Ahmedabad Airport, Mumbai Airport & Nhava Sheva Port
- Track shipments via ICEGATE / IGM filing / airline & shipping line updates (ETA monitoring)
- Documentation & ComplianceManage import and domestic LC (Letter of Credit) processes
- Arrange and process statutory forms (10, 11, 7, 13, 41)
- Handle GR Waiver, Test License, Narcotics Permission, advance & TT payments
- Coordinate with CDSCO team for regulatory approvals (air & sea shipments)
- Vendor & Financial ManagementSubmit import vendor payment documents on time
- Manage CHA invoices with reconciliation as per agreed rates
- Handle rate negotiation with CHA and transporters
- Prepare annual rate contracts for CHA
- Create and manage new vendor (CHA & transporter) onboarding
- Logistics & CoordinationCoordinate local transportation arrangements and billing reconciliation
- Work closely with international vendors and CHA agents
- Handle rejected material re-export process, including shipping bill preparation
- Licensing & Trade ComplianceArrange Advance License and coordinate CHA-related activities
- Ensure compliance with import/export regulations and documentation standards
- Skills & CompetenciesStrong knowledge of import/export (EXIM) operations
- Hands-on experience in custom clearance & documentation
- Familiarity with ICEGATE, CDSCO, DGFT processes
- Good negotiation and vendor management skills
- Strong coordination and problem-solving abilities
- Experience & Qualification4–8 years of experience in import/export logistics
- Graduate in Commerce / Supply Chain / Logistics
- Experience in pharma / regulated industry preferred
