Relationship Manager - MF
- Sourcing & Grouping: Identifying unbanked or low-income individuals and forming Joint Liability Groups (usually 5-10 women) to guarantee each other's loans.
- KYC Collection & Verification: Collecting and verifying required documents (Aadhaar, Voter ID, Ration Card) in the field.
- Financial Literacy: Educating rural or semi-urban borrowers about microfinance, loan terms, and group responsibilities. [1, 2]
- Underwriting & Group Recognition Test (GRT): Conducting thorough field visits, house checks, and group interviews to assess the creditworthiness and repayment capacity of applicants.
- Portfolio Quality: Ensuring non-performing assets (NPAs) and overdue accounts are kept to a strict minimum.
- Loan Utilization Checks (LUC): Verifying that disbursed funds are strictly used for the declared income-generating purposes (e.g., small business, dairy, weaving) rather than personal expenses. [1]
- Disbursement Targets: Meeting monthly or weekly targets for the number of active groups, loan sizes, and total disbursed amount.
- Cross-Selling: Pitching other financial products to the group, such as micro-insurance (health/life) or savings accounts. [1]
- Center Meetings: Attending weekly or bi-weekly center meetings at the village level to collect installment payments (EMI) from the groups. [1]
- Delinquency Control: Following up with defaulters, identifying early signs of financial distress, and ensuring recovery while maintaining customer relationships. [1, 2]
- Regulatory Compliance: Adhering to RBI guidelines regarding microfinance lending limits and interest rates.
- Audit Resolution: Escaping critical issues and swiftly resolving internal audit discrepancies in the field
