### Role Overview

The Assistant Production Supervisor will be responsible for managing material flow within the assembly and production line. The role focuses on ensuring that the right material is identified, segregated, and supplied to operators as per production priorities, enabling smooth and uninterrupted workflow.

### Key Responsibilities

1. Material Identification & Segregation

- Identify incoming and in-process material based on job/order requirements  

- Segregate material according to:

 - Order priority  

 - Product type  

 - Process stage  

- Ensure no mixing of batches or incorrect material movement  

---

2. Line Feeding & Operator Loading

- Distribute material to operators based on daily production plan  

- Ensure each operator has adequate and correct material to avoid downtime  

- Balance workload across operators for efficient output  

---

3. Production Flow Management

- Monitor movement of material across different stages (machining → heat treatment → grinding → assembly)  

- Ensure smooth flow without bottlenecks or idle time  

- Coordinate with supervisors to prioritize urgent orders

4. Work Order Tracking

- Track status of each job/order on the shop floor  

- Ensure correct routing of material as per process sequence  

- Maintain visibility of WIP (Work in Progress)

5. Coordination & Communication

- Work closely with:

 - Production supervisors  

 - Operators  

 - Quality team  

- Communicate delays, shortages, or issues immediately

6. Basic Documentation

- Maintain simple records of:

 - Material movement  

 - Job status  

 - Pending work  

- Support traceability of parts and batches

### Required Skills & Profile

- Basic understanding of manufacturing/shop floor environment  

- Ability to read job cards / part identification  

- Strong attention to detail (to avoid mix-ups)  

- Good coordination and communication skills  

- Ability to manage multiple tasks on shop floor  

- Disciplined and systematic working style

### Preferred Background

- Diploma / ITI / Graduate (Mechanical preferred)  

- 1–3 years experience in production / shop floor / assembly line  

- Experience in gauge manufacturing / precision components (preferred but not mandatory)
