Fashion Merchandiser Export Garments / High Fashion Apparel

We are hiring a Fashion Merchandiser for ARV Global Creations, a garment export

and high-fashion apparel manufacturing firm. The candidate should have good

knowledge of various fabrics, beading components, garment trims, accessories, swatch

setting, Delhi market sourcing, vendor coordination, and production follow-up.

Key responsibilities include sourcing fabrics and trims, coordinating with suppliers and

vendors, preparing swatches, purchasing materials from Delhi markets, supporting

sampling and production orders, and maintaining proper data of ongoing work.

Candidates with experience in garment export houses, buying houses, couture

garments, women’s wear, embellished garments, hand-beaded garments, or highfashion

apparel will be preferred.

Skills required: fabric knowledge, trims and accessory knowledge, beading component

knowledge, vendor coordination, market sourcing, Excel/Google Sheets, communication

skills, and strong follow-up ability.

Key Responsibilities

1. Fabric & Material Knowledge

The candidate should have good practical knowledge of different types of fabrics such as silk,

satin, georgette, chiffon, net, tulle, organza, crepe, velvet, cotton, linen, and other fashion

fabrics used in export garments.

2. Beading & Embellishment Knowledge

Must have good understanding of different beading and embroidery components, including:

• Sequins

• Cutdana

• Bugle beads

• Seed beads

• Glass beads

• Crystals

The candidate should be able to identify components, understand their usage, and coordinate

sourcing as per design requirements.

3. Garment Accessories & Trims

Should have knowledge of accessories used in high-fashion garments, including zippers,

buttons, hooks, linings, interlinings, cups, boning, elastics, hang tags, labels, packaging

material, and finishing trims.

4. Swatch Setting & Development

Responsible for preparing and maintaining fabric, trim, and embroidery swatches as per

buyer/design requirements. Candidate should be able to support the sampling team in swatch

approvals and material matching.

5. Market Sourcing & Purchasing

Must have experience in purchasing required materials from Delhi markets such as Nehru

Place, Chandni Chowk, Lajpat Nagar, Gandhi Nagar, Kinari Bazaar, or other relevant

sourcing markets.

6. Vendor & Supplier Coordination

Coordinate with different suppliers and vendors for fabric, trims, beading components,

embroidery material, accessories, and production-related requirements.

7. Production Order Coordination

Follow up with vendors and internal teams regarding production orders, sampling

requirements, material availability, delivery timelines, and pending work.

Maintain proper records of work at hand, including:

• Material requirement sheets

• Purchase details

• Vendor follow-ups

• Swatch records

• Production order status

• Pending material lists

• Sample development records

Required Skills

• Good knowledge of fabrics and garment construction

• Strong understanding of trims, accessories, and embroidery materials

• Experience in sourcing from Delhi markets

• Vendor coordination and follow-up skills

• Good communication and negotiation skills

• Ability to maintain organized records and reports

• Basic computer knowledge: Excel, Google Sheets, email communication

• Ability to work under timelines and production pressure

• Attention to detail and strong follow-up discipline

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Experience in garment export house / fashion brand / buying house / couture or highfashion

manufacturing unit

• Knowledge of women’s wear, eveningwear, bridalwear, embellished garments, or

couture garments will be preferred

• Candidate should be active, responsible, organized, and capable of handling multiple

tasks independently

Experience Required

2–5 years preferred

Qualification

Diploma / Degree in Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising, Textile Design, Apparel

Salary

As per experience and industry standards.

Manufacturing, or related field.
