Quality Control Engineer

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Quality Engineer to ensure our crushing‑equipment line meets the highest performance and safety standards. The role sits at the intersection of design, production, and field service, driving continuous improvement across the entire product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain quality control plans, inspection test procedures, and work instructions specific to stone‑crushing components (jaw plates, cone crushers, vibrating screens, etc.).

- Conduct in‑process and final inspections, verifying dimensional accuracy, material hardness, weld integrity, and surface finish against engineering drawings and industry specs (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001).

- Lead root‑cause analysis on defects, failures, or warranty claims using tools such as 8D, FMEA, and Six‑Sigma; implement corrective and preventive actions and track closure.

- Coordinate with suppliers to qualify raw materials, castings, and fabricated parts; perform incoming‑goods audits and manage supplier scorecards.

- Perform internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and statutory regulations for heavy‑machinery safety.

- Generate daily/weekly quality dashboards (First‑Pass Yield, Defect PPM, Rework Rate, CAPA status) and present insights to production and management teams.

- Support the implementation of Lean, 5S, and SPC initiatives on the shop floor; mentor operators on quality best practices and documentation control.

- Maintain the QMS documentation, change‑control records, and calibration schedules for measuring equipment.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Metallurgical Engineering.

- 5‑8 years experience in quality assurance within heavy‑equipment or metal‑fabrication environments, preferably with crushing or screening machinery.

- Familiarity with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and relevant machinery safety standards.

- Proficiency in SPC software, Minitab, and ERP systems (SAP a plus).

- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to work cross‑functionally under tight deadlines.
