Warehouse Supervisor

Job Title: Warehouse Supervisor / In-Charge (Banana Ripening Unit)

Location: Chandrala village, Gandhinagar

Job timing: 10:30 am to 7:30 pm

Role Overview:We are looking for a responsible and detail-oriented Warehouse Supervisor to manage day-to-day warehouse operations at our banana ripening facility. The role involves supervising inventory movement, overseeing ripening processes, managing labor, and ensuring operational efficiency and hygiene standards.

• Key Responsibilities:

1. Inventory & Data ManagementMaintain accurate records of all inward and outward stock

• Update and track daily inventory, dispatch, and receipts
• Maintain logs for crate movement and chamber allocation
• Ensure proper documentation and reporting of stock status

2. Banana Ripening OperationsHandle and supervise the banana ripening process

• Monitor fruit condition and physiology every 2 hours
• Control and manage temperature, humidity, and ethylene gas application
• Ensure proper ripening cycles and uniform quality output
• Maintain detailed logs of ripening batches

3. Warehouse OperationsSupervise loading/unloading activities

• Oversee grading, sorting, and quality checks
• Ensure cleaning and washing of empty crates
• Manage crate transfers between chambers
• Maintain overall warehouse cleanliness and hygiene

4. Labor ManagementSupervise and coordinate daily work of labor staff

• Assign tasks for sorting, loading, cleaning, etc.
• Ensure discipline, productivity, and efficient utilization of manpower

5. Equipment & Process HandlingOperate and monitor ripening chambers and related machinery

• Ensure proper usage of temperature control systems and gas equipment
• Report any operational issues or maintenance requirements

6. Basic Administrative & Technical WorkUse mobile apps and systems for reporting and coordination

• Operate printer for sticker/barcode printing
• Maintain basic records using Microsoft Excel
• Coordinate with management for daily updates
• Required Skills & Qualifications:Minimum 3–5 years of experience in warehouse operations / supply chain
• Preferably from fresh fruits, FMCG, or food industry
• Graduate in any discipline (preferred)
• Basic knowledge of English (reading & writing)
• Familiarity with warehouse processes and inventory systems
• Basic computer knowledge (Excel, mobile apps, printing)
• Key Competencies:Strong attention to detail
• Good team handling and supervision skills
• Ability to work in fast-paced, operational environment
• Basic understanding of fruit handling and quality control
• Problem-solving mindset and ownership attitude
• Preferred Experience (Good to Have):Experience in banana ripening chambers or cold chain operations
• Knowledge of ethylene-based ripening process
• Exposure to agri supply chain / mandi operations
• Working Conditions:Involves physical warehouse environment
• Requires extended hours during peak operations
• Hands-on supervision role
