Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Quality In-charge with an engineering diploma and

strong communication skills to join our team in the fabrication industry. In this role, you will be

responsible for ensuring that all products and processes meet stringent quality standards, while

maintaining clear and effective communication with all departments to resolve quality issues. The

company manufactures various components for the Indian Railways.

Key Responsibilities:

• Quality Inspection & Testing:

Conduct thorough inspections and tests on fabricated products to ensure they meet company

specifications, industry standards, and customer requirements.

• Audit reports:

Due to the nature of the industry, there are frequent quality audits done on the production

parts by the Indian railways. This profile will require going into detail of the specifications

and drawings, and preparing audit documents accordingly for external scrutiny.

• Quality Assurance Processes:

Develop, implement, and monitor quality control procedures, ensuring compliance with

established quality standards throughout the fabrication process.

• Non-Conformance Management:

Identify, document, and report any non-conformance or deviations from quality standards,

and work with production teams to implement corrective actions.

• Documentation & Reporting:

Maintain accurate records of quality inspections, tests, and results. Prepare detailed reports on

quality issues, trends, and improvements for management review.

• Compliance & Safety:

Ensure that all quality control activities are carried out in accordance with company policies,

industry regulations, and safety standards.

Required Qualifications:

• Education:

Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical, or related field)

• Experience:

3+ years of experience in a quality control or quality assurance role, preferably in the

fabrication, manufacturing, or production industry. Understanding of working with Indian

Railways is a big plus.

• Skills & Knowledge:

◦ Strong understanding of quality control processes and standards in the fabrication

industry

◦ Proficient in using inspection tools and equipment (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc)

◦ Ability to analyze data and generate reports

◦ Ability to read complex engineering drawings

◦ Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities

◦ Knowledge of fabrication-related processes (welding, laser cutting etc)

◦ Proficient user of Excel/Google sheets

Working Conditions:

• Full-time position.

• Working in a fabrication or manufacturing environment with potential exposure to heavy

machinery and industrial settings.

• May require occasional overtime to meet project deadlines or address urgent quality issues.
