Role Overview:

The Head of Security will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the organization’s overall security strategy to safeguard people, property, and information. This leadership role requires a proactive professional who can anticipate risks, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive a culture of safety across all locations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Security Strategy & Planning

• Design and implement a comprehensive security framework aligned with organizational goals.

• Develop policies, SOPs, and protocols for physical security, emergency response, and crisis management.

• Continuously review and upgrade security measures in line with evolving threats and industry best practices.

2. Operations Management

• Oversee day-to-day security operations across all sites/locations.

• Ensure effective deployment of security personnel and resources.

• Monitor access control, visitor management systems, and surveillance operations (CCTV, alarms, etc.).

3. Risk Assessment & Crisis Management

• Conduct regular risk assessments, vulnerability audits, and threat analysis.

• Lead incident response efforts including investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.

• Develop and conduct emergency preparedness programs, mock drills, and evacuation procedures.

4. Team Leadership & Development

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of security personnel and supervisors.

• Establish performance standards, conduct appraisals, and drive continuous training programs.

• Promote discipline, accountability, and high standards of professionalism within the team.

5. Compliance & Governance

• Ensure compliance with local laws, statutory regulations, and company policies.

• Liaise with government authorities, law enforcement agencies, and regulatory bodies.

• Maintain proper documentation, incident logs, and audit records.

6. Vendor & Stakeholder Management

• Manage third-party security agencies and service providers.

• Evaluate vendor performance and ensure adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (HR, Admin, Facilities) for integrated security solutions.

7. Technology & Systems Management

• Oversee implementation and maintenance of security technologies such as CCTV, access control, biometrics, fire safety systems, etc.

• Recommend and adopt new technologies to enhance security efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced certification in Security Management / Industrial Safety is a plus.

• 08–20 years of relevant experience in security operations, with at least 5–8 years in a leadership role.

• Experience in corporate offices, real estate, manufacturing, or large facilities preferred.

• Background in Armed Forces, Police, or Paramilitary services will be highly advantageous.
