Job Description
A Food and Beverage (F&B) Manager is responsible for the overall operations, profitability, and guest experience of a dining establishment, such as a restaurant, hotel, or resort. This role acts as a "conductor," ensuring the kitchen and front-of-house teams work together to deliver high-quality service while meeting strict financial targets.
Core Responsibilities
- Operational Management: Oversee daily operations for restaurants, bars, and banquet services to ensure they run smoothly and meet brand standards.
- Financial Oversight: Create and manage departmental budgets, control labor and food costs, and analyze profit and loss (P&L) statements to maximize revenue.
- Staff Leadership: Recruit, train, and supervise a diverse team; manage shift schedules and conduct performance appraisals to foster a high-performance culture.
- Menu & Inventory Control: Collaborate with chefs to design profitable, seasonal menus and manage relationships with vendors to ensure optimal stock levels and minimal waste.
- Guest Experience: Proactively address customer feedback and resolve complaints to maintain high satisfaction levels and secure repeat business.
- Compliance: Ensure all operations strictly follow health, safety, and hygiene regulations, including local alcohol service laws.
