About the Role: We are looking for a Desktop Support Engineer to provide onsite and remote IT support to our customers. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in troubleshooting desktops, laptops, printers, networking, email configuration, and basic firewall management.

• Key Responsibilities: Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows desktops and laptops.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues.
• Install and configure operating systems, drivers, and applications.
• Configure and troubleshoot Microsoft Outlook and Gmail accounts.
• Join systems to domains and configure user profiles.
• Install and configure printers, scanners, and other peripherals.
• Configure Wi-Fi, LAN, and basic networking devices.
• Troubleshoot Internet connectivity and network issues.
• Provide basic configuration and troubleshooting for Sophos Firewalls.
• Configure and troubleshoot IP Phones.
• Perform antivirus installation and system security checks.
• Install and configure Microsoft Office and other business applications.
• Manage user accounts, password resets, and basic Active Directory tasks.
• Perform data backup and restoration when required.
• Coordinate with vendors for hardware warranty and repairs.
• Maintain service reports, asset records, and documentation.
• Provide onsite and remote technical support while meeting service response timelines.
• Required Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Desktop and Laptop hardware troubleshooting.
• Windows 10 and Windows 11 installation and support.
• Microsoft Office installation and troubleshooting.
• Gmail and Microsoft Outlook configuration.
• Printer installation and troubleshooting.
• Basic networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN, Wi-Fi).
• Basic Sophos Firewall knowledge (user management, policy basics, VPN basics, troubleshooting).
• IP Phone installation and configuration.
• Remote support tools (AnyDesk, TeamViewer, Remote Desktop).
• Antivirus installation and endpoint security.
• Basic understanding of Microsoft 365.
• Basic knowledge of switches, routers, and structured cabling.
• Preferred Skills: Customer handling and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Good troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Willingness to travel to customer locations when required.
• Ability to maintain proper documentation and service reports.
• Educational QualificationDiploma/B.Tech/BCA/B.Sc. (IT/Computer Science) or equivalent.
• Relevant certifications such as Microsoft, CompTIA A+, CCNA, or Sophos are an added advantage.
• Experience1–3 years in Desktop Support, IT Support, or Field Support.
