Job Description
- Oversee and manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Handle balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations
- Monitor cash flow, expenses, and financial performance to support decision-making
- Supervise and guide junior accounting staff, reviewing their work for accuracy and completeness
- Manage statutory filings, tax returns, GST, TDS, and other regulatory requirements (India-specific if applicable)
- Identify process improvements and implement efficient accounting practices and controls
- Prepare MIS reports and present financial insights to management
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting and cost control
