Job Summary

A Dental Assistant supports dentists in delivering high-quality oral healthcare by preparing patients, assisting during procedures, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a clean and organized clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during various dental procedures (e.g., fillings, extractions, root canals).
• Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment.
• Take and develop dental X-rays (if certified).
• Prepare patients for treatment and ensure their comfort.
• Maintain patient records and update medical history.
• Provide post-treatment care instructions to patients.
• Manage appointment scheduling and patient flow.
• Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols.
• Maintain inventory of dental supplies and place orders when needed.

Experience

• 0–2 years of experience (entry-level roles may accept freshers).
• Prior clinical or dental office experience is an advantage.

Working Conditions

• Work in dental clinics.
• May require standing for long periods.
• Exposure to clinical tools and materials (with safety protocols).

Salary (India - Indicative)

• ₹10,000 – ₹18,000 per month (varies by city, experience, and clinic).
