Financial Analyst

Job Description: Financial Reporting Analyst 

We are looking for a reliable and detail oriented Financial Reporting Analyst to support financial reporting, analysis, and accounting processes. This role focuses on ensuring financial data is accurate, well-organized and presented clearly to support decision-making. 

A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word is essential for this role, as most analysis, reporting, and tracking will be driven through Excel-based tools. 

This is a position of trust, responsible for handling sensitive financial information and ensuring complete integrity across reporting, while acting as a key layer of vigilance within the finance function. 

Location: Gurgaon 

Key Responsibilities 

Financial Reporting & Analysis 

● Create structured reports and trackers using Excel 

● Build and maintain dashboards, models and reporting templates in Excel

● Analyze trends and explain changes across reporting periods 

● Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports 

Accounting & Reporting Accuracy 

● Ensure reported numbers are accurate and supported by underlying data

● Manage key project wise summaries and perform timely reconciliations

● Ensure that defined company policies related to financial spends are being followed across projects 

Process Improvement & Controls 

● Maintain well-structured and reliable financial data processes 

● Use Excel to organise, validate, and streamline financial data 

● Resolve data gaps in coordination with relevant teams 

● Improve reporting formats and reduce manual effort through standardization

Coordination & Ownership 

● Work with cross-functional teams and leadership to ensure data accuracy and timely inputs

● Track and close all open items in a structured manner 

● Handle financial information with a high degree of confidentiality and responsibility

Requirements 

● Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Commerce or a related field

● Minimum 90% or 9.5 CGPA in Class 10 

● 1-4 years of experience in financial reporting, accounting or related roles

● Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (mandatory) 

○ Comfortable with pivot tables, lookups, data analysis, and building structured trackers 

● Experience in preparing and analysing financial transactions/statements

● Strong attention to detail and structured approach to work 

● Ability to analyse data and present insights clearly 

● Comfortable managing multiple tasks and timelines 

● Good communication and coordination skills 

● Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
