Role SummaryThe Construction Planning Engineer prepares and manages project schedules, analyzes project progress, forecasts completion dates, and supports project teams in achieving project milestones efficiently.

• Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop detailed project schedules using planning software such as Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project.
• Prepare baseline schedules, work breakdown structures (WBS), and project timelines.
• Monitor project progress and compare actual performance against planned schedules.
• Identify schedule risks, delays, and critical path activities.
• Perform critical path method (CPM) analysis and resource planning.
• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
• Coordinate with construction, procurement, engineering, and management teams.
• Assist in preparing recovery plans for delayed activities.
• Analyze productivity and resource utilization.
• Support claims, extension of time (EOT), and delay analysis when required.
• Participate in project meetings and provide schedule updates to stakeholders.
• Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 5+ years of construction planning or project controls experience (depending on seniority level).
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies and project lifecycles.
• Proficiency in scheduling software and spreadsheet tools.
• Knowledge of CPM scheduling, earned value management (EVM), and project control techniques.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and reporting abilities.
