Steward

Role Overview

We are looking for a Steward to support the day-to-day front-of-house operations of a café and curated retail space. The role involves maintaining cleanliness and service standards, assisting with table service, supporting the café team during operational hours, and ensuring a smooth customer experience.

The ideal candidate should be organised, attentive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards across dining, service, and common areas

Assist with clearing and resetting tables efficiently

Support food and beverage service during operational hours

Ensure crockery, cutlery, glassware, and service stations are clean and organised

Coordinate with café and kitchen staff to maintain smooth service flow

Support opening and closing cleaning procedures

Handle basic customer requests in a polite and professional manner

Assist with waste management and back-of-house organisation as required

Candidate Profile

1–3 years of experience in cafés, restaurants, hospitality, or similar environments

Basic understanding of hygiene and cleanliness standards

Good communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work efficiently in a team environment

Punctual, organised, and attentive to detail

Flexible with working hours, including weekends and event days
