Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Store & Purchase Manager to oversee the procurement and inventory functions of our apparel manufacturing unit. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing materials, managing vendor relationships, ensuring timely procurement, maintaining inventory accuracy, and supporting uninterrupted production through effective store operations.

  • Key ResponsibilitiesPurchase ManagementManage end-to-end procurement of fabrics, trims, accessories, packaging materials, consumables, machinery spare parts, and office supplies.
  • Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely deliveries.
  • Obtain and compare quotations, negotiate prices, and finalize purchase orders in line with company policies.
  • Monitor supplier performance and maintain long-term vendor relationships.
  • Coordinate with production, merchandising, quality, and finance teams to ensure timely material availability.
  • Ensure all purchases comply with approved budgets and procurement procedures.
  • Store ManagementOversee receipt, inspection, storage, and issuance of raw materials, accessories, finished goods, and consumables.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper stock reconciliation.
  • Monitor stock levels and initiate timely replenishment to prevent shortages or overstocking.
  • Conduct periodic physical stock verification and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Ensure proper material identification, storage practices, and warehouse organization.
  • Implement inventory control measures to minimize wastage, pilferage, and obsolete stock.
  • Inventory & MISMaintain inventory reports, stock registers, GRNs, issue slips, and purchase documentation.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports related to procurement, inventory, stock movement, and material consumption.
  • Analyze inventory trends and recommend improvements for cost optimization and inventory efficiency.
  • Coordination & ComplianceCoordinate with production planning to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
  • Work closely with the finance team for invoice verification, payment processing, and vendor reconciliations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and audit requirements.
  • Maintain proper documentation for all procurement and store transactions.
  • Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Commerce, Textile Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5–8 years of relevant experience in store and purchase functions, preferably in the apparel, garment, or textile manufacturing industry.
  • Strong knowledge of inventory management, procurement processes, and vendor management.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/Inventory Management Systems.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and coordination abilities.
  • Preferred SkillsKnowledge of fabrics, trims, accessories, and garment manufacturing processes.
  • Experience in inventory planning and warehouse management.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Timely procurement of materials.
  • Inventory accuracy and stock reconciliation.
  • Reduction in procurement costs through effective negotiations.
  • Vendor performance and on-time delivery.
  • Inventory turnover and stock optimization.
  • Compliance with procurement and inventory procedures.

Salary: As per company standards and experience.
