Inviting applications for the role of Assistant Manager – Due Diligence 

In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of 10-12 individuals to achieve organizational goals and objectives. You serve as the primary point of contact for Fin Crime team members, providing guidance, support, and direction to ensure the successful completion of projects and tasks. 

Responsibilities:  

  • Manage day-to-day operations. Responsible for motivating their teammates as well as inspiring positive communication within them 

  • Act as Subject Matter Experts/Coaches and support auxiliary trainers. Manage end to end up-skilling, floor management, escalation resolution management, along with assisting with regular and uniform feedback and coaching. 

  • Ensure accurate, consistent, and timely review of flagged transactions, accounts, activities, and supporting KYC documentation (including IDs and verification documents).  

  • Review escalated cases and provide guidance to analysts for appropriate resolution.  

  • Maintain and enforce the escalation matrix for potential high-risk activity and timely escalate to the onshore client teams/SMEs.  

  • Manage risk-performance, track progress of analysts. Responsible for training team members, setting strategies, and monitoring progress towards goals. 

  • Collaborate with different teams to build reports/dashboards on key metrics 

  • Responsible for managing and implementing operational strategies, plans, processes to support new products/existing products. 

  • Conduct Quality Checks (QC) in a timely fashion on the output of other team members, following QC process and procedures. 

  • Will be involved in hiring and performance management  

Minimum qualifications  

• Graduate with good domain knowledge & proven record of team handling 

• Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex transactional issues correctly and clearly to both internal and external customers 

• Expert in Financial Crimes (FCRM). Should have hands-on experience in managing AML, KYC or Fraud investigation teams. Clear understanding of financial risk and dealing with major Financial Institutions, PSP, and other payments providers, etc. preferably in reputable financial services organizations/Fintechs 

• Demonstrate flexibility to work under 24*7 working environment 

• Ability to work independently and in a group setting. Manage conflict and create positive work environment. Liaison between team members and management. 

• Basic knowledge of Banking Industry & Regulatory Environment with in-depth knowledge of Regulations E, Z, CFPB, FACTA and FCRA 

Preferred Qualifications/Skills  

• Clear understanding of the global financial system and banking as well as the regulatory environment and the impacts of non-compliance.  

• Fluent in English, reading, and writing.  

• Knowledge of Salesforce, Zendesk, Lexis Nexis, Actimize, will be a plus.  

• Knowledge of Correspondent Banking & PSP products, transaction types/flows, and financial crime risks.  

• Knowledge of Banking Industry & Regulatory Environment with in-depth knowledge of Regulations E, Z, CFPB, FACTA and FCRA 

• Professional certification for Correspondent Banking (CAMS, CFE, ICA, or equivalent) preferred
