Data Analytics Lead
Global Sales & Services Operations (GSSO) is the team that helps shape Gartner's mission-critical sales priorities and works with sales & services leaders to drive tactical and analytical insights. As an associate on the GSSO team, you'll be at the forefront of the ongoing transformation of Gartner's sales force, which delivers approximately $4.9B in annual revenue and working to drive sustained double-digit growth. You will partner with business leaders across Gartner to support a global sales force comprised of more than 5,000 associates and service leaders comprised of approximately 2500 people who sell to & service every major function, industry and market sector around the world.
About the role:
This role is part of the Services Analytics Automation team that will lead and drive enterprise‑wide data and analytics initiatives on behalf of the Services organization, acting as the strategic bridge between Business stakeholders, the Chief Data Office (CDO), and IT. You will shape the data vision for Services, translate complex business needs into scalable analytics solutions, and ensure data is trusted, governed, and decision‑ready across the enterprise.
What you will do:
Own and Drive Enterprise Data Initiatives
- Serve as Product Owner for Services‑led data and analytics initiatives, owning end‑to‑end delivery from problem definition to business impact
- Partner closely with Business leaders, CDAO, and IT to align on data strategy, priorities, and execution
- Translate complex, ambiguous business problems into clear analytical requirements, technical specifications, and prioritized backlogs
Build Scalable, High‑Impact Data Solutions
- Define, analyse, and model large, complex datasets across multiple internal and external sources using SQL and Python
- Design, build, and maintain scalable analytics and data solutions using SQL, Python, Databricks, and modern enterprise data platforms
- Drive data transformation, integration, and cleansing to deliver reliable, reusable, decision‑ready datasets
- Identify and implement opportunities for automation, performance optimization, and platform scalability
Ensure Data Trust, Quality, and Governance
- Own data quality for assigned Service domains, establishing controls, standards, and best practices to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability
- Partner with the Chief Data Office on data governance, quality frameworks, modelling standards, and analytics platform alignment
Lead and Develop Talent
- Lead and mentor a team of analysts and data engineers, fostering strong ownership, accountability, and engineering discipline
- Coach teams on analytics best practices, data architecture, modelling, and governance, raising overall data maturity for Services
- Collaborate with IT and engineering partners to deliver secure, well‑integrated, enterprise‑grade solutions
What You Will Lead:
- 7+ years of experience in analytics, data engineering, or advanced data roles
- Strong hands‑on expertise with SQL, Python, and Databricks
- Proven experience building analytical datasets, data pipelines, and scalable data solutions on modern data platforms
- Solid understanding of data management, data quality, and data governance principles
- Experience leading or mentoring analytics and/or data engineering professionals
- Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to influence and engage senior business and technology stakeholders
- Comfort operating in a cross‑functional, enterprise environment, balancing speed, scale, and governance
