Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled, motivated, and detail-oriented Mid-Level Developer with strong expertise in Oracle Database, Oracle APEX, and PostgreSQL. In this role, you will have hands-on responsibility for developing, enhancing, and maintaining robust enterprise applications using Oracle APEX. You will work extensively within Oracle database environments and play a critical role in supporting key database migration activities from PostgreSQL to Oracle systems. Additionally, exposure to or experience with Oracle APEX AI capabilities (specifically APEX 26 AI features) will be a significant advantage as we continue to integrate intelligent automation into our software suite.

Key Responsibilities

Application Development: Design, develop, secure, and maintain scalable web and enterprise applications using the Oracle APEX framework. Build highly responsive, modern, and user-friendly user interfaces.

Database & PL/SQL Engineering: Work extensively with Oracle Database and PL/SQL. Design, write, and optimize complex database objects, including stored procedures, functions, packages, database triggers, and views.

PostgreSQL Support: Manage, query, and support existing PostgreSQL database environments alongside Oracle systems.

Database Migration: Actively participate in PostgreSQL-to-Oracle database migration initiatives. This includes executing schema conversions, rewriting and optimizing queries for Oracle compatibility, and executing thorough data validation protocols to ensure data integrity.

AI Feature Integration: Explore, implement, and work with Oracle APEX 26 AI features, embedding AI-assisted functionalities and smart workflows into applications where required.

Troubleshooting & Optimization: Diagnose, debug, and resolve complex application and database-related performance bottlenecks or technical bugs.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with business analysts, project managers, and cross-functional engineering teams to perform requirement analysis, scoping, and architectural alignment.

Deployment & CI/CD: Support application deployment, unit testing, and production release management activities while following established version control processes.

Code Quality: Write exceptionally clean, well-documented, secure, maintainable, and highly optimized code according to industry best practices.

Oracle Ecosystem

Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Database, Oracle APEX development, and advanced PL/SQL programming.

PostgreSQL Ecosystem

Solid foundational knowledge and hands-on experience working within PostgreSQL Database environments.

Database Migration

Direct project experience or deep understanding of PostgreSQL-to-Oracle database migration methodologies, tools, and validation.

Performance Tuning

Good understanding of relational database design, execution plans, index optimization, and query performance tuning.

APIs & Integrations

Practical experience building, consuming, and configuring REST APIs, SQL integrations, and web services.

Modern Capabilities

Familiarity or conceptual knowledge of Oracle APEX 26 AI features and AI-enabled application development capabilities.

Software Configuration

Solid understanding of modern version control systems (e.g., Git) and application deployment lifecycles.

Preferred Skills

Web Technologies: Practical development knowledge in frontend/backend technologies, including JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, or general web standards to customize APEX Universal Theme components.

Integrations: Advanced understanding of complex third-party system integrations and authentication protocols (OAuth2, SSO).

Cloud Infrastructure: Familiarity with cloud database environments (e.g., Oracle Cloud Infrastructure - OCI, AWS, or Azure) and enterprise-level production deployments.

Soft Skills: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills paired with clear communication capabilities.

Good to Have

Prior experience developing or supporting enterprise-level business workflow automation tools.

Direct hands-on exposure to implementing AI models, vector searches, or generative AI extensions within Oracle application frameworks.

Experience working inside fast-paced, iterative Agile/Scrum development environments.
