Partner Acquisition & Activation Officer

The Opportunity:

We are seeking results-driven and proactive associates to support the Partner Acquisition and Activation for the Onshore team. The role focuses on onboarding new recruitment partners (RPs) and activating dormant/startup accounts to drive consistent application volumes and business growth. The role is tasked with driving growth through a dual focus on partnership development and onboarding. This position involves identifying and recruiting high-potential recruitment partners (RPs) while ensuring a seamless transition into the ApplyBoard network.

Location: India (working in EST time zone: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM)

Role Type: Individual Contributor (performance and incentive-driven) 

What you’ll be doing every day:

  • Brand Representation & Promotion: Act as an ambassador for ApplyBoard, effectively promoting our platform and services to potential recruitment partners while enhancing their understanding of our brand.

  • Sales Contribution & Business Development: Increase recruitment partner sign-ups and identify new business opportunities through proactive outreach and engagement via cold calls, emails, WhatsApp, and LinkedIn.

  • Needs Assessment & Relationship Building: Identify and qualify the specific needs and challenges of potential partners, building and nurturing strong relationships to foster trust and support their recruitment efforts.

  • Market Research: Conduct thorough research to identify local international student agents and agencies, ensuring targeted and effective outreach.

  • Recruitment Partner Onboarding & Training: Schedule and conduct onboarding sessions, providing comprehensive training and ongoing support to ensure partners are proficient in utilizing the ApplyBoard platform.

  • Pipeline Management & Reporting: Regularly update the Sales Manager/Director on activities, leads, and pipeline status using CRM tools (Salesforce) and document outreach efforts to ensure alignment with sales goals.

  • Performance Improvement: Drive increased recruitment partner usage and student applications through effective training on best practices and continuous engagement strategies.

What you bring to the table:

  • A minimum of 1 year of proven experience in sales or a similar role, demonstrating an understanding of sales processes and strategies; experience in international student recruitment or B2B sales is preferred

  • Ability to clearly and effectively communicate ApplyBoard’s value proposition, with strong communication and relationship-building skills to drive partner engagement and successful application processing

  • Demonstrated competitive nature with a target-driven and proactive approach, coupled with the ability to thrive in a high-performance, metrics-driven environment

  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and pay meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy.

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the capability to navigate ambiguous situations, consistently seeking the best outcomes for students while maintaining integrity in partner relationships

  • Experience with educational consultants or postsecondary institutions is a plus, providing context to the recruitment process
