About Analytics Product (AP) 

The Analytics Product team empowers investment and risk management decision‑making for BlackRock and Aladdin clients through industry‑leading models, analytics, research, and investor workflows. The team delivers value for users, clients, and prospects by reliably delivering on commitments, crafting compelling research and applied solutions, enabling new opportunities with fit‑for‑purpose analytics, and applying deep subject‑matter expertise across the client lifecycle. 

In close collaboration with partner teams across the Aladdin Business, the team executes the analytics and product development lifecycle with end‑to‑end ownership, accelerating model development and delivery through agile processes, leading the deployment of new model features and infrastructure enhancements, driving adoption across the Aladdin community, and promoting model quality through disciplined processes and governance. 

Role Overview  

 

We are building next-generation liquidity, security similarity, and pricing models leveraging BlackRock's combined expertise in financial markets. The models we build use innovative machine-learning approaches, have real practical value, and are used by traders and portfolio managers alike. You can help develop analytics solutions in the field of liquidity risk, which are utilized in managing most of the money of the world’s largest asset manager BlackRock, as well as Aladdin clients. 

Overview of Responsibility: 

• Deliver next-generation liquidity models across asset classes on Aladdin.   

• Drive agile framework with cross-functional teams to bring predictability and transparency across initiatives.  

• Demonstrate analytical and infrastructure understanding by articulating product requirements documents, participating in technical architecture discussions, and winning mandates to deliver commercially viable mandates.  

• Perform independent analytical validations by scenarios-driven testing, large-scale validations, and presenting the results for review with stakeholders assuring higher standards in quality.  

• Understand rapidly evolving markets & stakeholder needs to influence the analytics roadmap, interlinked with dependencies across the Aladdin ecosystem.  

• Automate repetitive processes increasing efficiency and throughput of overall team. 

• Present models to clients, address concerns and improve clients’ trust in BlackRock.  

• Work with technology and analytics groups to build and deliver scalable, customized solutions using Aladdin APIs. 

• Define processes for quality control and maintenance of analytics models to ensure best-in-class robustness and reliability of Aladdin’s analytics output.  

• Utilize advanced analytics and communication skills to collaborate with BlackRock's clients, portfolio & risk managers and articulate clear financial modeling specifications. 

• Understand production processes and liaise with partner teams to ensure smooth model deployments and maintenance. 

• Resolve complex analytical inquiries with a keen understanding of analytics and models. 

• Create and improve documentation for analytical models and processes for internal and external consumption. 

• Mentor and train junior analysts as they build expertise and gain exposure. 

Experience/Qualifications/Skills: 

 

Candidates should have a demonstrated track record in tackling difficult real-world problems within investment & risk management businesses. The candidate will be expected to leverage quantitative skills to lead the product lifecycle development and release to evolve the analytics platform within Aladdin. Furthermore, all positions require outstanding quantitative, communication, and presentation skills.  

Experience & Qualifications  

• 3–5 years of experience in a product role, preferably delivering financial risk or analytics models. 

• Strong understanding of portfolio risk, factor models, and financial analytics; Private Markets experience is a plus. 

• Proven ability to lead ambiguous, cross‑functional initiatives in an agile environment. 

• Educational background in Finance, Engineering, Business, or a quantitative field (Bachelor’s required; advanced degree preferred). 

• Deep knowledge of Analytics Risk Models, Trading Cost, Liquidity Models is desirable.  

• Technical aptitude including Linux, SQL, scripting, and familiarity with Python or advanced Excel. 

• CFA or FRM designation is a plus.
