About the role
The mission of the Process Excellence and Automation team is to support operational teams within GFSS to provide world class efficient and effective services to our customers by improving and automating the processes they use.
Key to the role is to provide greater insight into the current ways of working by end-to-end process mapping, task mining, data analysis etc and then identifying potential improvements aimed at efficiency and/or effectiveness as well as executing those.
The team needs to closely partner with operational teams to help in achieving both efficiency targets or address other operational issues as per customer requirements as well as spread a continuous improvement mindset within GFSS.
The team also supports operational teams by organising and running CI and Automation related trainings, based on the skillset of the individual members.
For a team member to be successful in it necessary to have critical thinking and good communication skills and be able to influence stakeholders up to director level to drive change.
What you will be doing (Role Accountabilities)
- Deliver, support, and educate the GFSS towers in driving process excellence programmes.
- Organize and conduct Process Transformation Workshops
- Gather data necessary for events and workshops
- Leverage new data gathering method of task/process mining
- Coach process leads in the delivery of process improvement actions identified
- Coach the operational teams in delivery of projects to achieve business outcomes
- If required teach process improvement methodologies such as Lean
- Help operational team solve issues using a structured approach
- Help operational teams identify process improvements (automations, standardisation, reorg, waste removal etc)
- Work with the automation team to deliver solutions that reliably improve outcomes
What you’ll need to succeed (Skills & Experience)
Skills
- Proficient in process transformation capabilities including Lean, Six Sigma etc.
- Good in relationship management
- Good meeting facilitation skills, Change Management
- Coaching workplace leaders in breakthrough improvements
- Coaching workplace leaders and stakeholders to improve every day
- Demonstrable communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to deliver to tight timescales and to quickly identify innovative, pragmatic cost-effective solutions
- Must have presentation skills with the ability to communicate effectively
- Good commercial/project management acumen
- Finance knowledge is a plus
Experience
- Relevant experience in process transformation, programme management
- Experience in stakeholder management, change management and workshop facilitation
- Experience in managing Automation & Digital Transformation
- Design thinking concepts and finance transformation experience (2+ years)
- Experience in finance operations is a plus
