About your team

The GPS Data Platform is designed to empower autonomous data domain teams by offering scalable, reusable, and compliant infrastructure and services. It aims to reduce cognitive load and improve operational efficiency across teams. Key features include:

• Self-service capabilities for data infrastructure and tooling
• Reusable components and templates that are resilient and compliant by default
• Governance and runtime standards to ensure consistency and quality
• Support for faster product delivery through domain-agnostic services 

The platform is structured around capabilities (e.g. data, digital, record-keeping), supported by chapters such as architecture, data engineering, and programme management. This model promotes agility and decentralised decision-making

About your role

The position is for a Java Development Specialist in Fidelity International. The role involves doing development involving core skills of Java (OOPS, Collections, Multi- Threading), SQL, Spring Core, Spring MVC, Hibernate etc. and supporting the infra estate which include all DevOps and Engineering aspects across tech like AWS Cloud, K8, Jenkins, Code pipeline etc.

Knowledge of working in Agile Team with DevOps principle.

This would also involve intensive interaction with the business and other Technology groups, and hence strong communications skills and the ability to work under pressure are absolute must.

The candidate is expected to display professional ethics in his/her approach to work and exhibit a high-level ownership within a demanding working environment.

About you

• Strong experience in Java development with deep understanding of OOPS, Collections, and Multithreading
• Proficient in Spring Boot, Spring MVC, and ORM frameworks like JPA/Hibernate
• Skilled in designing and developing REST and SOAP web services
• Hands-on experience with microservices architecture and TDD using JUnit/Mockito
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or CloudFoundry
• Solid grasp of SQL and database schema design, preferably with Oracle
