About your team

The Transfer Agency Technology group is responsible for providing Technology solutions to the Transfer Agency business in Investment Solutions & Services (ISS). The team supports and enhances existing applications as well as designs, builds and procures new solutions to meet requirements and enable the evolving business strategy. The team is supporting critical business applications like GFAS (Global Fund Administration System) and vendor applications like PureFacts & ZILO.

About your role

In this role, as the Expert Engineer in Transfer Agency (TA) team, you will:

• Lead the development projects to enhance existing, and develop new integration and business services, centred on RPG, Python, AWS & Snaplogic
• Be responsible to ensure project deliverables conform to business requirements/objectives
• Understand the requirements, evaluate potential products / solutions and provide technical recommendations
• Be “hands on” with technology and to contribute to the design and development of projects
• Complete projects in accordance with agreed standards i.e. operational acceptance criteria.
• Liaise with the Product/ Project Manager to ensure successful deliveries
• Liaise with internal system owners and/or 3rd party vendors to contribute in the development of effective strategy for the product
• Work with Product/Project Managers to establish project plans and identify Risks & Issues impacting the project

About you

• B.E./B.Tech. or M.C.A. from a reputed University
• 8+ years  of development industry experience with exposure to complete life cycle of development on RPG/ RPGLE
• Knowledge of XML (DTD/XSD)
• Exposure to web services concepts (SOA) and exposure to integrating external web services on i-series.
• Working experience on Jenkins, Snaplogic & AWS components like S3, Lambda, EC2, etc.
• Proficient in Python programming language
• Working Knowledge of Agile methodologies
• Knowledge of MQ/Topics/ETL would be preferred.
• Proven track record on an AS/400 related application development.
• Working knowledge of financial applications preferably Transfer Agency system like GFAS
• Knowledge of DB2 concepts and associated methodologies.
• Knowledge of troubleshooting during various phases of development.
• Perform code reviews and ensure that coding standards are met
• Ability to develop & maintain good relationships with all business and systems stakeholders
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think laterally to arrive at a solution
• Self-motivation is essential, should demonstrate commitment to high quality solution.
