Job Description

Develop and manage 2D drawings and 3D corridor models, surfaces and alignments for highway and land development projects using Autodesk Civil 3D (grading, roads, drainage, utilities)

•  Prepare plan, profile, and cross-section drawings for roads and associated infrastructure
•  Perform grading design and earthwork modeling for highways and site development
• Prepare site layout plans, grading plans, and utility drawings, Signs and marking layout, Pavement layout, Longitudinal section, Typical/ Running section etc.
• Support drainage and utility modeling (stormwater, underground services coordination)
• Work closely with engineers and lead designers to interpret design inputs and implement changes
• Assist engineers in design modifi cations and updates
• Ensure compliance with project CAD standards and BIM requirements
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (planning, drainage, utilities) to resolve clashes and design issues
• Assist in model reviews, QA/QC checks, and deliverable submissions

Software & Tools

• Mandatory: Autodesk Civil 3D
• Mandatory: AutoCAD
• Exposure to ProjectWise, ACC or similar CDE platforms (preferred)
• Basic understanding of BIM workflows and coordination tools

Key Skills

• Strong expertise in highway corridor modeling and surface creation
• Good understanding of road design standards (UK / DMRB / US/Canada/ANZ standards preferred)
• Ability to handle large-scale models and data shortcuts effiiciently 
• Knowledge of grading, drainage, and utility coordination
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight project deadlines
• proficiency in surface modeling and earthwork calculations
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
• Good coordination and communication skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy

Project Exposure (Preferred)

•  Experience working on UK highways or US Canada projects
• Experience in residential, commercial, or industrial site development projects
• Familiarity with client standards and international design practices

Key Deliverables

• Civil 3D corridor and surface models
• Highway drawings (plans, profiles, sections)
• Earthwork and quantity reports
• Coordinated design models for multidisciplinary integration
• Site grading and utility models
• Layout drawings and detailed design sheets
• Quantity take-off's and reports 
• Coordinated design outputs for construction

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or Bachelor's in Civil Engineering.
• 5-9 years of experience of CAD works in Roads, Highways, Major Infra projects using Auto CAD/MicroStation tool. Good Experience of using Auto CAD/MicroStation, added advantage having civil 3d tool for Road, infra projects and experience of 3D modelling tasks of Road features, assets. 
• Preferably worked on Global design experience and worked for international projects in collaborative environment. Highway related BIM exposure,
• Excellent spoken and written Communications skills, ability to explain and co-ordinate with teams for projects success. Basic understanding of CDE tools ProjectWise, BIM 360, Bluebeam and other appropriate tools. Quality process, procedures, implementation for delivery of projects
