What this job involves:

Thinking technical

We can offer you an exciting role where you can apply your project coordination skills within our Commissioning Services team. When involved in supporting commissioning projects across construction, engineering, and MEP environments, you can encourage the team to adopt structured documentation practices and continuous improvements. You will support the execution of all coordination activities for building the commissioning delivery plan and its progression from preliminary review through to final reporting.

Mapping project requirements

An essential part of your role will involve coordinating with internal team members, external consultants, contractors, and construction project teams to support documentation collection, issue resolution, project scheduling, and reporting – primarily through written communication. You will jointly manage commissioning projects by developing commissioning activity schedules and clearly defined sequences of work. Alongside, you'll maintain complete and accurate project documentation including requirements, technical reports, and progress updates, ensuring materials are organized and readily accessible. Likewise, preparing, compiling, and distributing project closeout documentation and reports using Microsoft Word, Excel, and SharePoint will be your responsibility.

Role synopsis

This is primarily a technical role, and JBS performs these activities with the support of one on-site technical person for all relevant data collection. The delivery is structured as a two-step interlinked process – an Upstream (preliminary) stage and a Downstream (final) stage – bridged by on-site data gathering performed by the JLL On-Shore team.

In the Upstream stage, you will focus on technical document review covering MEP and air-conditioning systems such as chillers, pumps, and cooling towers, while coordinating with internal teams and MEP consultants as required. The mid-stage handover involves the JLL on-shore technical person visiting the project site to collect nameplate photographs of equipment, document as-installed conditions, and capture technical parameters that cannot be obtained remotely; all collected data is then systematically passed back to JBS for analysis. In the Downstream stage, you will review the on-site data, coordinate discussions with contractors, perform equipment calculations based on engineering standards and nameplate values, and prepare comprehensive technical reports in predefined formats.

Performance objectives

Being the Commissioning Analyst, you have to ensure the required productivity and accuracy as per project requirement, approaching internal stakeholders and external partners with a best-in-class service provider attitude. Thinking out of the box & supporting the building of solid relationships with consultants and contractors that are focused on the principles of partnership and resolving technical concerns with a result and win-win attitude. Actively participate in the development of best practices around documentation, calculations, and report preparation, acting as a mentor and providing training and guidance when required to team members.

Flawless expertise

We're looking for a person with 2 to 4 years of experience in MEP calculations and on-site technical information review. It would be wonderful if you've worked on HVAC equipment analysis, engineering calculations, and technical documentation preparation, with the ability to read and interpret design drawings and construction submittals and a basic understanding of HVAC and electrical equipment. Strong data management, organizational, and document control skills are essential, along with proficiency in the Microsoft Office package including Word, Excel, and SharePoint. You should be comfortable managing multiple project schedules and tasks simultaneously, flexible and receptive to new ideas, and able to deal with day to day stress while effectively coordinating with diverse project stakeholders. Persistent in efforts, practicing care and caution in the job at hand, with excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to coordinate effectively via email and formal correspondence.

Immaculate knowledge

On top of everything else, a recognized university degree (Associate's or Bachelor's required) with an engineering background or relevant engineering experience is preferred. Prior project management experience – preferably in construction, engineering, or commissioning environments – is required. Strong attention to detail and good organizational and interpersonal skills are required to succeed in this role. Experienced candidates can expect a focused 2 to 3 months of training, while entry-level candidates and freshers will go through a comprehensive 5 to 6 months training program to build full competency.
