The role

The Platforms CET team was set up over 3 years ago as a global team with the goal of delivering services to our cloud workload teams, enabling them to adopt cloud services whilst moving at pace.

We deliver services into AWS and Azure accounts, supporting both Linux and Windows operating system images running on EC2s and VMs alongside native cloud services.

We achieve this through the use of tooling such as:

• Terraform, Python
• GitHub Actions and runners
• Packer

And cloud services such as:

• EC2, Lambda
• ECS
• DynamoDB
• Cross-account backup
• Codepipeline / GitHub Actions

All of our deployments are pipeline-driven with automation at the heart of everything we do. We have embraced AI and integrated it into our daily activities.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a highly skilled engineer who is passionate about automation, cloud technologies, and modern development practices.

Essential Skills:

• Strong Python skills with TDD practices
• Terraform
• AWS managed services experience
• Linux automated image creation on virtual/cloud technologies
• API development experience
• Understanding and appreciation of security standards
• Linux system admin skills (beneficial)
• Good awareness of CI/CD practices
• Experience working in an Agile environment
• Experience working with AI (GitHub Copilot)
• Exposure to queuing systems
• Basic knowledge of SQL
