A Sales Team Leader drives revenue by managing, mentoring, and motivating a team of sales representatives to meet or exceed targets. They implement sales strategies, monitor performance metrics, provide coaching, and handle daily operations, acting as the link between sales staff and management to boost team productivity.
Key Responsibilities
- Performance Management: Set, track, and exceed individual and team sales targets, evaluating effectiveness through KPIs and data analysis.
- Team Leadership & Mentoring: Recruit, onboard, train, and mentor sales staff to improve skills and product knowledge.
- Strategic Planning: Translate company goals into actionable sales plans, including assigning territories and setting quotas.
- Operational Oversight: Oversee daily activities, conduct regular sales meetings, and provide performance feedback (coaching).
- Relationship Management: Build long-lasting customer relationships and handle high-level client issues to ensure satisfaction.
- Reporting: Analyze sales data and report on team performance, trends, and market opportunities to senior management.
