Job Description (JD) – Field Sales Executive

Position: Field Sales Executive

Project: Kirloskar Brothers Limited (KBL)

Location: Gwalior

Reporting To: Territory Sales Manager / Project Coordinator

Job PurposeTo drive sales growth by identifying potential customers, promoting KBL products, generating leads, conducting market visits, and ensuring strong relationships with dealers, retailers, contractors, and end customers.

  • Key ResponsibilitiesConduct regular field visits within the assigned territory.
  • Identify and approach potential customers for KBL products.
  • Generate sales leads and convert them into business opportunities.
  • Meet dealers, distributors, retailers, contractors, and project stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate product features and benefits to customers.
  • Collect market intelligence, competitor information, and customer feedback.
  • Achieve monthly sales targets and business objectives.
  • Maintain daily visit reports and sales activity records.
  • Coordinate with internal teams for order processing and customer support.
  • Ensure proper product visibility and branding activities in the market.
  • Follow up on inquiries, quotations, and pending orders.
  • Eligibility CriteriaGraduate in any discipline (MBA preferred but not mandatory).
  • 1–3 years of experience in field sales, preferably in pumps, electrical, industrial, construction, or building materials sectors.
  • Freshers with strong communication skills may also apply.
  • Required SkillsStrong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build customer relationships.
  • Knowledge of sales and marketing techniques.
  • Basic computer skills (MS Excel, MS Word, Email).
  • Ability to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
  • Self-motivated and target-oriented.
  • Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)Daily market visits.
  • Lead generation and conversion.
  • Sales achievement against targets.
  • Dealer/retailer onboarding.
  • Customer engagement and satisfaction.
  • Timely reporting and data submission.
  • CompensationFixed Salary + Incentives (as per company policy).
  • Travel reimbursement as applicable.
