Factory Supervisor

The Manufacturing Supervisor manages daily production workflows, schedules staff shifts, monitors equipment performance, and enforces safety and quality compliance. This role requires balancing hands-on technical troubleshooting with people management to minimize waste and optimize resource utilization.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership: Oversee daily shift operations, delegate floor tasks, evaluate worker performance, and resolve personal grievances or disputes.

Production Scheduling: Map labor allocations and prioritize workflows to ensure targeted outputs are met on time and within budget.

Quality Assurance: Run regular floor checks to confirm finished items meet structural specifications and reduce overall rework or scrap material rates.

Equipment Maintenance: Inspect production tools routinely and coordinate directly with the technical department to plan preventative servicing and emergency machinery repairs.

Data Recording: Log daily manufacturing metrics, compile raw shift output results, and submit progress overviews to senior operations managers.
