Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION – DMO MEDICAL OFFICER
1 Clinical Support & Patient Care:
Assist consultants with medical procedures and patient care.
Manage and monitor both outpatient (OP) and inpatient (IP) cases.
Conduct patient rounds alongside consultant doctors.
Maintain regular patient contact and follow-up.
2 Documentation & Medical Records:
Write and maintain OP prescriptions and treatment files.
Prepare comprehensive discharge summaries.
Document consultant notes and update IP medication charts.
3 Patient Communication & Education:
Explain medications and treatment plans to patients as per
consultant instructions.
Address and resolve patient queries.
Maintain ongoing communication with patients.
4 Surgical Care Coordination:
Manage pre- and post-surgical patient care.
Coordinate with the surgical team and patient care coordinators.
5 Consultant Coordination:
Work closely with consultants across all aspects of patient care.
Support consultants in patient management and treatment decisions.
